In Loving Memory of Britt White
In loving memory of our beloved brother-in-the-Lord, Britt White, during the coming days, weeks and months, please continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will supernaturally comfort Deanne, the children, the entire White family, and all those who grieve the passing of Britt. Yet, all the while remembering that "...we mourn, but not as those who have no hope," for by the comfort of the Living Word we are assured....
"Brothers and sisters, we want you to know about people who have died so that you won't mourn like others who don't have any hope. Since we believe that Jesus died and rose, so we also believe that God will bring with Him those who have died in Jesus" –1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 (CEB).
LETTER TO THE FELLOWSHIP UPON BRITT'S HOME GOING:
June 21, 2012
Dear LWF Family,
This morning (June 21, 2012) the Lord called Britt White home to be with Him, and as Britt’s home going is precious in God’s eyes, so it is in the hearts of those who know Britt and Deanne and the children.
What wonderful words are given to each of us who seek to understand the mystery of all that has transpired. Among many is one that gives His children comfort and assurance: “To be absent in the body, is to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8).
"Love’s holy flame forever burneth,
From heaven it came, to heaven returneth;
It soweth here in toil and care,
But the harvest time of love is there."
We know that God is love, a love that is from everlasting to everlasting. John says, “Love is of God; and every one that loveth is begotten of God,” thus Christian love must be as eternal as God’s love, a love which binds hearts together by a heavenly bond.
As we pray for Deanne and each of the children, Dave and Joan White and the family members, your experience of sorrow God uses, also, in making you a comforter to others in their sorrow. Though this season you too can understand the meaning and ministry of sorrow.
F. B. Meyer wrote: “You can point out how God is now walking behind the plow of His providence, sowing the precious grain. For sorrow shall not always be our portion; God is sowing light for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart.”
By and by all mysteries will be made clear; all disappointments revealed as His appointments. We will be satisfied when we awake in His likeness. We shall meet our loved ones and all the events in life that we thought to have gone wrong will prove to have been blessings overshadowed by His love from earthly strife.
In prayer we keep,
Pastor Al on behalf to your LWF pastors
